Hey guys, Working on an Overclock with my Q6600 and things are going pretty good.
My issue though is that I want my 6600 running at speed all the time. I don't want the multiplier to drop and core speed to drop.

I have it at 2700MHz right now with a 9x multiplier.
How do I prevent it from dropping to 1800MHz with a 6x multiplier?

I have an ASUS p5k mobo

-i think speedstep is what i need to find and disable but cannot find it in my bios. some help there too please...

oh.. and what is "transaction booster" ?

You need to disable C1E and EIST (Speedstep). To do this, go to the advanced menu, then CPU Configuration. You should be able to see it there.

Oh, and Transaction Booster is a feature that involves around, the more advanced memory timings. It's best to leave this alone, if you don't know what they do.
