CPU getting overheated

My CPU is getting overheated recently.I guessed it was due to dust clogging in the fans/heat sink so I cleaned it up using artic silver yet the issue is unresolved.It has been working fine for around 7 hrs and all of a sudden this issue started.I am frustrated I don't know how to solve the problem.
Can anyone lend me a helping hand with ur words

What are your temperatures at idle and load? What are the specs of your system? What CPU cooler?

Did you apply Arctic Silver between the heatsink and CPU or did you try to clean dust with it? If you're using a translator, it may be mixing up the words.
