Well, not really much to explain. Was trying to install software/drivers for my my pc game controller (which didn't work, so I just said **** on it), and then when I open my Safely Remove Hardware, it shows my hard drives in there? I've restarted, but it didn't make it go away. Any reason for them to be there, and how can I get them out?

It never did it on my other XP machine, though. Other PC has XP Home as well, and I used one of those SATA drives in that other PC, and it never came up in the safely remove hardware on that one.

Don't worry. SATA were first designed to be hot-swappable. Since that's their design, XP was programed to list then as removable. It's an XP program flaw.

So you can hot-swap SATA drives? Huh, didn't know that xD. Learn something new everyday I guess xD. Odd that It just started doing this, though (didn't happen at all on my other PC).

Yep, i imaged 11 laptop drives on friday and never rebooted the ghost server, just swapped drives.
