i was just rechecking on newegg in the HDD section to see what is new, have the prices changed, etc n i noticed this:

Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda ES ST3320620NS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

which one is a better deal for me to get? Is the perpendicular recording tech that differ that it has to be lower price? Does perpendicular recording tech perform less then regular?

any help would be nice, thx.

In theory the perpendicular recording has a better cost/data size ratio, so it should cost less to produce, its also newer and as with most new tech, prices come down.
