Alright..here's what's going on:
I can't boot into Vista...sort of
If I go into normal Safe Mode, it works. Then I do a system restore.
It boots, then vista automatically does some updates. I reboot.
If I try to boot, it won't work unless I remove my SATA DVD Burner.
If I try to do safe mode w/ networking, it stops on crcdisk.sys (Which I know has something to do with SATA drives) (But safe mode normal still works)

Is there a way to fix that Vista+SATA problem?

And:
I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, and when I boot, it hangs when it loads (or something) the ACPI controller. How do I fix that?
Thank you for any of your help

Have you tried any updates from Gigabyte that should include drivers for the onboard sata controllers? On a new build I installed Vista on the ide drive and XP Home on the first of two sata models. The new case besides seeing the usual ide driven cd writer includes a new 18x sata type dvd burner. Vista went on smooth and boots normally once the bios settings for the controllers were seen correct there. It sounds like a board driver needed maybe missing.
