Barcelona is not Phenom. Barcelona is the new Opteron, which uses ECC RAM, and doesn't have HTT 3.0, and it's for socket 1207+

Phenom (Agena, not Barcelona) uses AM2+, HTT 3.0, and DDR2-1066 non-ECC RAM.

y do u keep saying DDR2-1066? Where did u get that info? Does this mean it wont support DDR2-800??? OMFGZ!!!

no, it means it will support up to 1066. basically the same way current mobos will work with ddr2 667 or ddr2 800.

Some of the current intel motherboards already support DDR3 memory

i believe that am3 will be the first (amd) to fully support ddr3. not positive on that of course.
also it seems the am2+ will support the higher speed ddr2 (1066) to try and compensate for not using ddr3 this year. i dont think there will be a tremendous performance difference between ddr2 and ddr3.
