Hi all.
OK. I have Windows XP. I just got a used 40gig seagate hdd off my mate. I used KillDisk to wipe it. I tried to install a fresh copy of Vista onto it but setup couldn't find a new hard drive. So i used Disk Management in Admin Tools to make it a volume, so its readable.
Now. It makes it into a 'Dynamic' volume. When i tried to install Vista again, the hdd showed up, but then it said that Vista cannot be installed on a dynamic drive.
So my question; What is a dynamic drive? How can i make it just a normal drive like my C & D drives so i can install vista?
I tried partition magic but that couldn't do anything helpful. I then tried partition logic, that too didnt work.
Please help guys.
Cheers
