its not something you turn on or off. The thing in your BIOS is hyper transport. Its AMD's replacement for the FSB. Hyper transport has absolutely nothing to do with hyper threading.

the only thing hyperthreading and hypertransport have in common, is the "hyper" at the front of the name.
I don't believe the new C2D's have HT. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yea, that kid had those two terms turned around.
And no, the C2D's dont support Hypterthreading, and I don't think that was an option you turned on or off haha.
The OP's AMD proc does use hyptertransport, which you can't turn off, it takes place of your FSB.
