Whats better to do, get a RAM with more memory or get one with a tighter timing.

Newegg now has the G.Skill HZs available but the price went up $10.00

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

I was thinking of getting this one instead....

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Considering that I cant even overclock my system anymore due it its temperature being very high at stock speeds.

So should I get the 2GB (1GB x 2) 4-4-4-12 or the 4GB (2GB x 2) 5-5-5-15 RAM?

64-bit?

Well, how much memory do you currently use on your rig? If you don't even use 2 gigs theirs really no point to run 4 gigs. But if you need that extra memory, then by all means run 4 gigs.

Yea, you do want to get the same brand and the same series, and yes their is a difference.

Timings, the speed they run at and what they can run at, the chips the memory uses. All of those are reasons why you want to run the same brand and series of memory.
