prices are CHEAP right now. i'd grab one while you can.. i paid $299 for mine.
Well i just got the e6550, their is no reason in upgrading so soon, and plus im hoping to max out every setting on games coming out. If my 8800gts isnt enough, ill probably get the gtx or ultra...

i wouldnt think so.
On second thought, I think I'll wait for the Penryn chips, which is being heralded as the biggest breakthrough since the Pentium Pro. Matter of fact, even the dual core version is suppose to be FASTER than the present marketed quadcores. Hopefully, they WILL be out next year.

A die shrink and an extra instruction set is hardly a breakthrough like the Pentium Pro

Penryn isn't going to have them embedded. Not on the CPU, anyway.
graphics, memory and audio can be embedded on the motherboard, but that is something that's already done. Even on AMD systems.
The first to embed graphics processing on a CPU will actually be AMD, with Fuzion.
