So I was just looking at Umart (the computer store I use in brisbane, it is cheapest one I can find), and noticed that there is now listings for DDR3 ram.

Umart Online

Wondering how much of a massive performance increase this would give you? lol, no way would I buy it for another year or two cause it will be crazy expensive, but yeah, huge upgrade from DDR2? And what mobos can support DDR3 anyway?

Cheers,
Sydz

At this point, the performance over high end DDR2, is not much. They still need to tweak it out. Like lowering the timings. It will take a couple of years, to get DDR3 into the mix.

There are a quite a few motherboards that support DDR3:
Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
ASUS P5K3 Deluxe
