Western Digital Raptor. a 10,000RPM drive with a 5ms seek time.

Basically, it's faster than regular 7200RPM drives.

they are quite expensive for quite small capacitys, most people have two in raid

I can only find the 10k Raptor 74Gb in SATA1. Is it made SATA-II yet?

no.

though SATA II is only really useful for a really small burst. sustained read/write speeds of hard drives is barely over 100MB/s on even fast hard drives, except for perhaps 15KRPM SCSI drives

Ok so after some careful maneuvering, this is what I came up with:

And here is the before picture:

The only problem is I can't get it to boot now. Hehe, but that was posted about in another thread. I guess my new wiring management doesn't count unless I can get it running, huh?

reseat RAM and video card, try resetting BIOS
