My friend told me that if I keep my laptop plugged in to charge it that it would start loosing battery life if I keep it plugged in even if it finished charging. Is this true? Usually I leave my laptop on overnight because I'm a torrenter(I download and seed torrents) and so I end up keeping my laptop plugged in so it won't run out of battery. Is this okay for me to do? Any help is appreciated. Thanks is advance.

Yeah that usually happens w/ li-ion batteries, which I'm pretty sure that laptop's use, along w/ 99 percent of rechargeable electronics. But laptops are sophisticated devices. I'd imagine that it would cut off power to the battery when it's charged and just power the laptop. What you could do is call the company and find out.
