Best Hardrive Brand?

I always liked Seagates. However, make sure you get their 3 year warranty drives. Different factory depending on the warranty. Plus I have never had a 3 year Warranty Seagate die on me.

WD are good too.


I would not trust any other brand (including Maxtor). Every Maxtor that I have owned as crashed on me.

I Have a 40gig Western Digital that i bought on sale from Circuit City a few months ago and ive had nothing but problems with it since ive bought it. My friend bought the same one and he also reports similar problems. I dont know if this is a fluke or what but I would say go with Seagate as a first choice then Maxtor.
