either of those motherboards will be good. its just a matter of do you want to spend a little extra.

i have the XFX Ultra. CLock speed doesnt really matter. Mine was 612/2016 its now 685/2300, same as the XXX version. i could go higher, but anything over 700/2350 i get artifacts.

oh yeah mine came with GRAW and Lost Planet

I Like the Gigabyte Aurora case or the Thermaltake Armor. Those both will have plenty of room and airflow.

I will prob switch to a Gigabyte in the future and watercool. This case is pretty crammed. I didn't think it would be this tight in there but it is.

How do you like the 680i and your ultra combo?

Iam thinking of building my pc almost identical to yours


I was told the p5k is better than the 680i and why did you pick the 680i do you plan on doing sli?

Its basically saying for $100 you get the very best..

I know you can OC the gtx to ultra standards but you can also OC an ULTRA...

go with the p5k....unless you REQUIRE sli...they are both very good boards

p5k if you dont plan to SLI

680i if you want to OC under what a p5k can do and plan to SLI.

im still sweaking my OC. im stable at 3.2GHz right now.

as for the video card. a GTX can't do 685/2300
