I work with a Dell laptop encountering the following problem:
when booting I get the message "Primary hard disk drive
not found".
The A drive still works enabling me to read what is on a
floppy.
Does this error message indicate that my hard drive
has crashed and is not usable anymore ?
What else could I do ?

Unplug the USB Drive :p

If that wasn;t the problem, it could be that the HDD was loose (unlikley) or that it fried out comepletly. I would remove the drive bay door and re-secure the drive, then try again. If it doesn;t work you'll be forced to use the cheesey Dell Support :-/

Tks
I will bring it to a repair shop.
