Overclocking stupidity

Not to sound like a total patzer, but how would you overclock? I know what it is and does, but I don't know how to actually go about doing it. I'm not planning on overclocking, but curiousity got the best of me. Thanks for the help.

You go about doing it using your BIOS. Different chipsets allow this, nforce chipsets are prefered for overclocking. BTW, you would probably get more attention in the overclocking forum.
