cant get server to boot

I'm working with an ML330 HP server. we just purchased a new SCSI hdd and we're trying to load w2k server. Using the scsi controller that came with the server, it will detect the hdd but on ID11. If I try to change the jumper setting on the scsi adapter (attached to the hdd) it wont detect at all.

Before, it detected it on ID11, 12, and 13 but now its only detecting it on #11..but it says "STATUS failed" This is a new scsi hdd and we also tried another hdd (same type of scsi hdd) and it says the same thing.

I'm confused. I'm sure it COULD be a bad hdd, but we tried replacing the controller as well as the scsi cable & terminator.

Any ideas? This is kinda difficult without you guys actually seeing it...

well u did everything already check ur motherboard now it might hav some shits init lolz
