...i dont see how its worth the extra money.
Ill just stick with sata, and forget about raid. Its more complicated and not worth it.
So just get the one i suggested, its the exact same, cheaper but without raid.

The choise lays in your hands.

It should combine the space since, as there is no data redundancy, it just puts half of the data in one HD and half in the other, the advantage being that you can read them at the same time, theoretically increasing the read speed.

People on this forum tend to be dubious as to whether there is even a noticable improvement (RAID0 vs no RAID), and I haven't even tried, so don't really know.

Here is my updated list:

Custom Build

Core 2 Quad Q6600 289.99

Gigabyte DS3L $100

Patriot 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM $185

APEVIA X-CRUISER-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ($49.99 after rebate)

Seasonic S12 550W 129.99

Pioneer DVD +/- RW 33.99

BFG Tech BFGR79256GSOCE GeForce 7900GS $150

Assuming that we'll be using old HDD with all the information on it, if not buy one.

Price with no shipping and rebates = $900.93

Any way I could bring down the price more?

why are you getting 4 gb of ram?
Its not needed unless your gonna have vista 64 bit.
And any other os wont recognize more than 3gb.
2 gb is plenty.
And why dont you get a higher end gfx card like the 8800 series?
