good program to benchmark CPU and comparing results?

What's your system? Why don't you place it in your signature through the User CP. That will keep people from asking.

Up in the top left hand corner there's a link called User CP. It'll take you to your profile settings and the first option on the left hand toolbar is "Edit Signature"

i dont no of any cpu benchmarking programs that are soley dedicated for cpu that u can compare online. u could always post up ur 3dmark cpu score and compare to others

well my 3dmark06 cpumark score is exactly 5000

I have a Q6600 OC'ed to 3.2ghz does that sound right

lol yes its good.
my highest yet is a little over 8200.
i have an x2 3600 evga 590sli 3gb xms2c4 and SLI 7900gs.
was going to ebay off my 7900gs' so i could buy an 8800...GF threw away boxes. grr.
