well.. i use ATI cards..... and i too agree the drivers are crap.. but by switching to Omega Drivers instead of Catalyst's my 3dmark03 score went up from 8k to 12k..

Omega drivers? That is the second time ive heard of someone using Omega instead of the official drivers. What does Omega give that the official drivers do not?

which 3dmark did you use?
And my gfs dell laptop is the radeon 1400hyper something..i cant exactly remember. It got a score of 500 with 3dmark05. I've played some decent games on it and it rung good.
I think its like a half dedicated half integrated card.
I couldnt find where to get good drivers for gaming...can i get a linky.

Yes, plus they use a previous version of drivers, so they are more stable.

From the specs, it points to the 2900 being better... but I guess people just seem to think "nvidia brought out dx10, so they must have better dx10 equipment"
