graphic intensive? yes, very much so, one of the most intensive games made at the moment
I have not seen a system yet that would play it maxed out and have nice fluid motion at all times. But, by knowing what to tweak you can get it to work quite well. The cloud and weather effects seem to make the biggest difference from what Ive found playing with it on my own.
do a google search for reviews, you will see the same said about it, just like fs2004, fsx is way ahead of what hardware was available when it was released
hasn't been all that long since they got fast enough to deal with fs2004 properly
