Transfering hard drive image between laptops

Hey

I have a latitude 630 and a latitude 830. I want to transfer the hard drive image on the 630 to the 830 and I was wondering if this is possible and if there will be compatibility issues. I'll probably be using ghost or true image to backup the image. Thanks in advance.

its possible, go for it. A hard drive is a hard drive.

You can try, but my guess is there will be some driver issues.

you can try but your gonna have a very unstable system due to the hardware ID's not being the same for Windows which will require you to reactivate Windows and possible BSOD's
