Hey there!

Hopefully someone can help me on this one.

I recently bought a VGN-FZ190 Vaio Notebook.

With this, everything is great, except i opted not to get a DVD rewritable, instead getting a CDRW/DVD combo drive.

I still dont regret the decision because it saved me some money and I never burn CDs as it is. However, if i were to change my mind in the future, does anyone know if I can snap out the one I have now and replace it with an internal DVD writer drive? I know that external may be the way to go, but if i wanted an internal one, can someone point me toward the right direction on how to acquire one (without going through Sony itself since their support department is crap) and if its easy to install?

Thanks!

O yeah, and would most brand of internal laptops DVD writer drive work, or is it sony specific only?

Thanks for the help in advance.

can you put this in the laptop section please
im not an expert in laptops but you should be able to put in a dvd rw

or to keep that drive

get a dvd rw external drive that plugs into the usb

the second option i would say is better
