if i update the bios what will happen will i lose anything?

hmm no, it just give improves stability of BIOS, gives it better control over when OCing stuff for example. It's a driver like the graphics n CPU i think, it improves it n makes it reliable n stuff when they r in use.

BIOS updates only do things to improve your BIOS software on your motherboard. It will not affect the OS or any of your software at all.

The only way you could screw it up is by interupting the process. Which could be fatal.

Do a BIOS update, they do good things.
