I put together ASUS P4800 SE Motherboard and the CPU is Intel P4 Processor. My computer will not boot at all. I did smell something burning (I hope I did not fry anything) I rechecked everything. I looked at the motherboad, but did not see any signs of burning marks. (My guess is lost hope!) I did try to turn the computer back on, but the motherboad just lights up and the cpu fan keeps spinning. No other sign of life.

A. I read the manual instructions carefully
B. Made sure the pins were correct
C. I know CPU and Motherboard are compatible with each other
D. Hard Drive pins are correct, but I do not think this is an issue

I will take it to my coworker who is a technician, but any suggestions.

How about your PSU??? Enough power???
Is better for u to list down your specs more details.
If with warranty, just take it back n change 4 another 1, save a lots of time.

Asus P4P800 SE
Petium 4 Processor
AGP 8X Video Card
500 MB of RAM
ATI Radeon Video Card
2 Fans
120 GBs HDD Seagate

Can U b more specific like Rating of PSU, name of the videocard etc.
I would first check to see whether my PSU has enough juice or not.
If I have any doubt on components like Hard Disk, RAM etc, Iwould try checking them on my friend's computer.:)

The Power Supply Case unit has 250w/300w switch. The manual states that if the manual is fully configured then use 300w if not then use 250w

I don't think the video card is a problem. The computer will not boot at all. There is no sound, and no beeps at all. I have e-mailed the motherboard manufacture, and I am waiting for a reply from them. I do not think any one will be working since it is a holiday. I will wait.
