lol a 7900 will run those fine. i am on a 6800gs and run fear all the time. i ran the bioshock demo pretty well too.

It is hard to keep up with your current build and future plans. You were debating a 8800gtx before I left for a while, then I stopped by again and you were going to build a fx75 based or or something. Now you have a budget build.

ya.. but i was bouncing between alot of things with my money.. and now... my money is free for me again.. and my computer.... i was easily spending 800-1000 dollars a month on my computer before.. so its time to do it agian!! wooooo

lets start with how many graphics cards i've been through...

6800gs (2 of em... seperate occassions)
7900 gt (sli'd)
x1900xt
x1950xtx
x1950pro
7300gt
6800 vanilla (3 of em)
8800gts 640mb
and now the 8600gts 512 mb when i get home tonite!

and cpu's.... 3500+, opty 146, 3800x2, e6600 another 3800x2 (am2).....

I run everything on high stock and it runs fine,,, i just oced and im gonna try it out now see how it runs.. =] and i run it on 1440x900 ,,, all other games 1680x1050 and at least 60,,, np at all... runs perf.

just a quick question. what was the point of starting this thread authority? seriously, lol, you asked a question, about 10 different people answered, and you went and ignored them all for no reason really, the x1950pro wasnt out of your budget and it is a far superior card, haha

ya i was assuming this 8600gts i bought should be on par with 7900gt-gtx or something like that from my reading in certian things... so i should be expecting pretty well with all the games i play....

Just ran some Fraps in BioShock on my OCED settings which is 660/800 I am getting anywhere from 20-50 FPS ,, usually 35... I dunno about stock pretty close can't be that big of a diff. and this is all on 1440x900 resolution ONMAX SETTINGS

what is your definition of max settings... mine is 4xAA 8xAF on 1680x1050... if not higher.. i ran almost all games with 4xAA 16xAF on my 8800gts

See you are stepped down a resolution from the native res. on your monitor.

thats my idea, but on bioshock theres no setting for that its just low medium high,,, with some few basic extras... no AA or AF... there automatic with the low medium high setting I believe correct me if im wrong...

and btw i just ran 3dmark05 scored 10,567.... is that good or no? with the 660/800 setup
