Okay, here's the thing I had for a long time Superfetch diabled and expierienced really delayed searches and system lagging unlik what is supposed to happen when disabling it, I know have it enabled and everything works ok if not perfectly. I would suggest you not to disable this service other than you have really really low system speed, less than 1gbyte ram etc.
 
Well all i can say is DUH. Vista is totally based off of super fetch. Disabling is totally hampering Vista. Might as well have disabled explorer.exe and tried to operate Windows then.
 
tweaking is just that. It is not a definate method to make anything faster. It works on a few system with a specific setup. It does not work on all machines. Plus anyone who said that turning of superfetch got a speed boost outta Vista. Is lying. Cause Vista is based off Superfetch. Disabling it in anyway hampers the system overall.
