hey guys, i have a 40gb Seagate hdd, and a 30gb WD (both are 7200rpm) just kickin around...and i was wanting to know if there is a way to combine the two physical disks into one logical partition of 70gb (30+40)....is this even possible? i've been wondering if this is possible for some time, thanks a lot for the help!

I think it's a RAID array called JBOD. Just a Bunch of Disks. It simply takes the hard drives of any size, and combines them into one. But sorry, I don't know how to set that up. I know someone here knows, though.

I don't think it is safe able, cause this attrib is not in format method or in in PartitionMagic, except if they are two partitions of the same HDD. I believe they don't allow this to happen, because what occurs if the one broke down or is taken off of the pc?

RAID is most effective with 2 disks of the same size. Using discs of different size will cause you nothing but trouble.
