hi guys i have a question..my 80gigs started to fail.... still good for me..
is like 6 years old ..well i run a scn in active@ file recovery 7.1 .. it detected some bad sectors fat's bad sectors asa well...my question is...
-if make a partition where the drive is ok ..let's say for example from 10gigs throught 60 gigs..
..performance on hard drive will improve...?

or is there any other program that can scan my hard drive and tell me
from where i can make a partition on hd that is not damage already..

If it's failing like that, I would just get a new one. Hard drives are very inexpensive, these days.

In my opinion, Seagate is on top...but Western Digital is top too. They're the top two. But Seagate I hear, has the least failure rates, and a 5 year warranty.

yeah..that;s the good thing about seagate...
also..i have this one for almos 6 years....and this failing is my fault,,
in the beginning..i used to unplug while shutting down..
