Is this a good site/program to bencmark CPU's?

I prefer 3dmark06 and 3dmark05.

They're free and most benchmarks report those scores.

Yeah, the 3Dmark06 has GPU test, CPU test, and a few more which I don't remember. Don't really want to run 3Dmark06.

If you really care that much, disable all the other graphics test available on the 3dmark except the two CPU tests.

You can then check your before/after results.

well my 3dmark is 9911 and got about 400 points difference from 2.4GHz to 3.0GHz or maybe that was from 2.4 - 2.7GHz

I got a 500 point increase from 3.2 to 3.4
