Yeah i bet the 9800 ultra would start at 900-1000. But no doubt it will drop, just look at the 8800ultra prices, I may pick one up on a step up.

Anywho, The motherboard is a tad bit overrated, I would've gone for the p35 ds3 and used that 200 bucks to get a 22" monitor instead of a 19"

Ive found that going all out is never a good approach. From what Ive seen, go for the best price to performance ratio. That way you dont spend too much to get a negligible performance increase.
