realistically, it's more likely to be 100,000-150,000. But then the future is inherently unpredictable.

btw.. any ideas on 3dmark07's release?

September, I think. Apparently it will be DirectX 10 only though.

At a lan i went to, intel made a machine which achieved a score of 20800. This is just uber extreme.

I just heard from the grape vine yesterday, that there is a company in California who successfully developed a 60 core processor. They also said that with more development, a 1000 core processor is not out of reach, and not too far away.

Thats what I told the person telling me (since I'm a programmer). But then again, the technology needs to be there before anyone will think to use it.
