trying to install vista

hi there, i am trying to install vista on my friends new computer, but when it asks what partition to install it on (he has 2 hard disks and they both show up in the list) a message appears along the bottom ob the window saying:

"this computer's hardware ma not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

i have gone into the bios, and i cannot see anything there to do with this, but that doesn't mean to say its not . could this be brought on by anything else? it says the same message for both hard disks and wont let vista be installed because of it. cheers

ok, just got it installing... i disconected the 2nd hard disk and the error has gone. just gona re-connect it once iv installed vista.
