and im kinda nervous about ripping the board out and then having to replace the RAM which is gonna be like an extra 400 on top of the card and proc... might as well buy a new comp instead of all that (also expensive)

Yes the processor and the VGA is really important towards gaming and maybe I can squeeze in the RAM as well.
