From my Samsung to a Gateway 22"

both are the same screen size but the gateway has more input options like S-video, component and composite thus giving me the ability to watch tv on it and use consoles too.

Thats the monitor I will get. My Samsung which i bought at Newegg has one dead pixel. Luckily i rebought it at CompUSA and bought a replacement plan so I can exchange it with another 22" monitor and since both are the same price (at cost that is with my discount) i can get the gateway monitor at no extra cost.

Is it a good deal or not? Should i just keep my samsung or go with the gateway?

imo that gateway is crap compared to the samsung, i'd stick with the samsung one

Samsung are supposed to be among the best and they also make their own monitors - i doubt gateway do...

just buy a tv tuner card

samsung has a guarnteed no dead pixel policy, call em up!
Also if its the 226bw then its way better than the gateway, nomatter what panel its using.

Not worth it, go for a decent tv tuner and you'll get DV-R.
