Asus striker exteme or ASUS P5K3 Deluxe Motherboard

oh.. sry about that... it looked like i was bath mouthing 680i... lol

error in subject-verb agreement... i mean the striker is overpriced...
 
problem with the P5 is it uses ddr3 memory which is really freakin expensive

Just want to clarify that if by P5 you mean P5K Del. the specs off newegg are :

DDR2 1066 / 800 / 667 MHz
The chipset officially supports the memory frequency up to DDR2 800MHz. Tuned by ASUS Super Memspeed Technology, this motherboard natively supports up to DDR2 1066MHz
 
You know, the P5K3 does seem better then the Striker Extreme and at a cheaper price, but then the downside is that it's DDR3 which costs a fortune. I wonder why they made the P5K to only support DDR3 RAMs. :confused:
 
yea that got me i mean 400 for rams for corsair ddr3 is way beyond my price range but yea a friend convinced me to get the ASUS striker extreme since ima big time gamer
