The reason people push the evga cards is because of the lifetime warranty EXCELLENT customer support and the step up program. As long as you register the card within the first 30 days you get a lifetime warranty (only original owner though) and can upgrade it once within 90 days of buying the card.

It's not so much condensation you have to worry about when putting parts into refrigerators, it's the fact that Freon is highly corrosive. A box of baking soda (or powder i dont know which) will take care of the moisture in the air. But that freon is nasty stuff.
