My current computer is running a P4 1.4ghz, 384 megs of ram and a GeForce2 TI 64MB. I'm planning on upgrading mid-August, and was wondering about a few things. When are PCI-X motherboards going to be released for AMD? Also, is DDR2 ram common yet? I've been looking around for it, but couldn't find anything. Lastly, when(if at all) will PCI-X become mainstream? If I upgrade using AGP in mid-August to a Radeon 9800 pro 128mb(might go with GeForce 6800), some high quality 1gb ram and an Athlon 64 3000, will it last me for about 2 to 3 years, or will new software utilizing PCI-X force me to upgrade sooner?
