to tell you the truth, it depends. If the computer is high end and will last me long, I might pay around 1000. But if the computer will only last me a year or so, I'd want to spend around $600ish. What i've come up with is, ill get the E6320, and a XFX 7600 GT Newegg.com - XFX PVT73GUGD3 GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

With those two parts changed. The Price should drop from $1150 after rebates to around $850. Then later when the prices drop, go for a Q6600 and 8800 GTS. I'm still kinda...idk, but its hard to decide.

er....at this late in the game I would ALWAYS advise against getting a 7 series card. I mean a 8800 GTS 320 mb is only 250 after MIR!!!! Thats a friggin steal and that card can last you at least 2 years at very good performance. Compare this with the +125 dollar-ish 7 series cards and you'll see that getting a 250 8800 GTS just makes WAY more sense. Also if your on a budget I suggest going for a E6750 ( hopefully dropped below 200 soon ) instead of the E6320. Its just so much farther in terms of performance and OCing capability.

Yeh, I kinda thought about that. The 7 series is already way behind, and the lower model of 7 series is even worse. But I wanted a 8800GTX or Ultra instead of GTS. I'm still undecided. The E6750 is $211 now. Only $70 less then Quad Core. If I run Duo will I need all kinds of fans/cooling like the Q6600 would need or no? I plan to OC it to around 3.2.-3.6 with a Gigabyte P35 DS3R and Crucial 2GB memory. Soooo many options!

There is no 8800 GS, what I recommended was the GTS it was just the 320 mb version compared to the 640 mb version ( apparently theres very little differance in terms of performance, even at high resolutions ). I mean if you get the E6750 do what 90% of people on this board do and just get a AF7 Newegg.com - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler - Retail like everyone does on this forum. That will do fine even with a lot of overclocking, the tuniq is better suited to high OCs or a quad core ( which is why I got it ). Either way don't stick with the stock intel fan as it sucks...

Sorry, I meant to say I wanted the 8800GTX or Ultra instead of the 320MB GTS.

So Its either the highest 8800 or the GTS? Should I get GTS for now, then sell it when the 9 Series comes out and switch? Come to think of it, I don't really need a quad core, the duo would do just fine, but then again its only $70 difference. Would the E6600 OC to around 3.2 or would I have to go with the E6750.

Also will I be able to play Crysis and NFS Pro Street at Max Settings with this new PC?

If you get the 8800 Ultra then there isn't really a need to upgrade to the 9 Series. E6750/E6850 would do fine, I guess. But I think the Q6600 will drop down in prices.

I'm not getting Ultra now, its way to much. The highest card I would get is the 8800 GTS for $249.99 after MIR (Good Deal). Maybe when the 9 series comes out, I'll sell this for under $200 and get that. The E6750 is $211 and the E6850 is $329, it cost more then the Q6600. I'm not sure, it looks great though.

Personally i would go for the PC P&C Scilencer 610W. It has a single 12V rail design (far superior to dual and multi 12v rail configurations) and it has all of the amps you would need (49) that could not only run, but destroy a 8800GTX SLi setup.
