Lookin for a decent laptop for just basic use, internet use, microsoft word, basic stuff like that, nothing too fancy, any quick but not too pricey laptops out. By quick I mean doesn't take a day and a half to start up, shut down, not much lag problems, wont freeze up, not too many problems, you know stuff like that.

All computers have these problems if they're not maintained. Any laptop should serve your purposes, you just have to keep it maintained.

umm get a laptop with at least 1.86GHz core 2 duo, 2GB RAM, dedicated graphics and big hard disk

any recommended manufacturers? i was looking at Specifications for Acer Aspire 15.4" Widescreen Notebook PC (5100-5674) at circuitcity.com because its cheap =\ yes, money is a problem for me
