8600GTS resolution problem

hey, my friend has a 8600GTS and he can't pick his wide screen resolution 1280x768. the only wide screen resolution he can pick is 1680x1050 but everything becomes way too small and almost impossable to read. is there anyway i can change it to 1280x768? before he was using 1280x768 on his ati card so its not a monitor capability problem.

Update the drivers. What's the size of his screen?

he has the latest monitor and video driver. i think its a 19" widescreen

If it's a 19", the usual native resolution is 1440 x 900.

he cant pick 1440x900. only 1680x1050 is avaliable
