7950 gx2 Cooling

Ok my 7950gx2 runs at 49 C IDLE. I'm considering RMAing it. Is there anything I can do to get it at a lower temp? I have AS5 on it.. I have a fan on it...

what else can I do?

I don't think I should consider water cooling.. but possibly...

(ill use that question for another thread.)

What's wrong with that? My x1950xt is at 41*C right now.

What are your load temps?

uh about 59 C thats the max i think ive seen it.

i just wanna overclock it a bit..
heres anotehr thing..

i was looking at ati tool, it never lowered below 49C
and i turned the fan on high..

i also touched the videocard, i could barely feel warmth..

60*C is fine. If it goes over 80*C regularly, then you might want a better cooler.

or maybe the antec coolers that suck in air and blow it out of the case..

How long have you been running your VGA with AS5 on it? Do you have an intake and exhaust fan?

for a few months.

i have like the perfect fan set up.
2 fans on the side
2 in the front
and 1 stock in the back..

i also have a pci exhaust..

49C idle is where my card might be running at, well it's at 55C idle at the moment. I do not know why, don't ask me, don't make fun of me, please. :happy:

Which do you guys think I should get? Something that blows air out, or something that blows cold air in?
