Hey guys!
The power bumps in my area are becoming unbearable. I like to leave my computer on almost 24/7 to keep my torrents going. However, my area as been experiencing 2-3 power bumps a day, and I can't take it any more.
I know a decent amount about computers, but I've never thought of buying a UPS before. I have no idea what are good brands, or even what to look for. I would appreciate as much insight as possible. If anyone has any help, or even specific UPS's they recommend (Newegg please!), then I would be very grateful.
My needs:
-Needs to support my stuff! Pentium 4 3.2ghz, 1 gig ram, nVidia 7900ish video card, 22in widescreen monitor.
-I would prefer it to keep me going for 20-30 minutes so I can get saved if the power truly does die (though my main need is for power bump protection).
-I would like something that doesn't install bloatware on my system.
I appreciate all the help I've gotten off these forums and look forward to your replies!
