guys i can only offer one of these two cards which one should i go for and if it is the Ati then would you please post the name and the card number because there are many manufacturers and i don't know which one should i chose

None. Lol. Get the sapphire X1950PRO 256MB, not the 512 MB. That much VRAM is simply not needed on a 1950PRO

With an X1950PRO, you simply dont need that much RAM, cos the GPU itself wont be able to handle the sort of high resolutions which will need all of the memory.

Ya but thats comparing an ATI card against an nvidia card. If a 1959 pro 512 is only a couple bucks more than a 256 by all means go that route. We're not trying to dissuade you, only saying that there wont be a noticeable difference. Btw, what is your budget for a card anyhoo. Right now you can pick up an 8800 gts for around 280 or so and its definately worth the extra 100 bucks over a 1950.

X1950pro 256mb. If you get the 512mb, it's not any faster then the 256mb.
