Help - My USB Hard drive won't work with Vista

I'm a real newb, and totally confused...

My Toshiba hard drive has a 'secure partition log in'. It works fine with XP, but, for some reason, Vista comes up with a message saying something about wrong INI enteries... Is there anyway todelete the secure log in thingy. I don't have anything to protect anyway. Is there anything I can do with Vista?
