The Q6600 + 8800GTS. Plus, you can upgrade to the 9 series later.

or

Upgrade the 6000+, when the Phenom X4s come out.

I think the AMD route is the more expensive option.

Q6600 is future proof and costs alot more but its awesome
the athlon is alo good but its only dual core not quad
but i personally prefer amds
they are alot cheaper

Its a gamble either way. There still arent any solid numbers as far as the phenom or the g92 goes. Personally i would go with the q600 as it is better performance for the money right now and the gts because you can step up to the gtx in 3 months if you really need more card.

*ya maybe im a bit biased, heh as you see what choice i made*

Why the 650i Ultra? Get the P35 chipset instead. Like the P35-DS3R.

Where are you ordering from?

Nice pricing on the components for a built rig. I would suggest going for a p35 board though if you havent already ordered it. This will allow you to upgarde to a 45nm chip in the future and the p35 chipset allows for better overclocking than 650i.

*edit* i hate you all, i always get beat on motherboard replies by minutes.

unfortunately i already placed my order. I am not planning on doing much overclocking with the Q6600 as I have no idea how. If I figure out how than I may still attempt a little overclocking with it. From what I have read the motherboard was a decent budget overclocking board for previous buyers. I know that it is compatible with the Q6600 but I do hope that it works out well.
