it is strange the that motherboard does not beep at all. Also if the processor that is in there is a 2.66 ghz and the board can only go to 2.2, wouldnt it still work but only run at 2.2?

Iv had motherboards that dont beep it might be alright, What type of celeron is it the Celeron D? Id think it would just downclock it supports the fsb of 533 but im not sure about CPU`s if not supported by the motherboard tech specs.

Sometimes you have to check and see if the motherboard supports that CPU or not. Someone had a problem with buying a motherboard with an LGA775 socket. He thought all LGA775 sockets were the same, but then the motherboard wasn't compatible with his E6600.
