Remember, it's not the wattage that matters, it's the amps.

if you had a quad-core then the 520 would be stretching it but a Dual Core and 8800GTS even with heavy overclocking won't even come close to max load

So you think my HIPER 580w 38amps, would be pushing it, with a heavily overclocked Q6600, and a slightly overclocked x1950pro?

What is the purpose of having one large amp rail (pc power and cooling) then have the amps spread out of 4 rails (seasonic?)

One large rail, supposedly is better for SLI. Someone explained it here before. If I remember correctly, it's something about not having to waste amps, from the multiple rails.
