Thank you all for your help... I really appreciate it. I cant wait to start playing Fear and Quake 4 and all those good games.

(plus im thinking of a second 500 GB hard drive and Vista Ultimate and XP Student) :D :D :D :D

I Forgot to say that i want to use it for bideo editing and gameing and possibly even photo editing with RAW immages which takes a lot of computer! Should i change the motherboard to a striker extreme?

I just built a similar machine, and its definately worth the extra couple of bucks to get a p35 board. The gigabyte p35-ds3 board is highly recommended as it supports the upcoming 45nm chips if you decide to upgrade. Also you might look into picking up a q6600 instead if you plan on doing lots of video editing. It can be had for around 300 or so from most places.

I was just suggest a build that came up to your price budget...let me look it up real quick
Do you need a monitor

Total comes to $1574

You could always substitute the gtx with gts and get a cheaper psu and get the arctic cooler freezer pro 7
and the e6750 instead. That will save you a couple hundred dollars and fit your budget.
FYI to play FEAR, you dont need such a high end system...i can max out all the settings on my rig. Just letting you know.

uhhh.. i dont know a lot about computer, so i am trying to say nicely that i need this stuff in lame mans terms or perhaps just a link. I dont really know what you mean when you just kind of say what it is, and i need 2GB of ram for vista ultimate. Thank you all for your help
:)

Thanks for that man... that looks great, gonna keep it all except for the case, i may splurge a little on the coolermaster case that i have been waiting for, spetember 1st isnt that bad.:D

are you planning on overclocking?
and what games are you planning or wanting to play and on what resolutions?

And no problem for the help...
this was actually suggested that build from others, so i trust them the most.
And i herd the mobo is really good.

Next time post on building for higher performance...
more people may catch attention and you may get better help.

Yeah, i want the best preformance for a low price, and thats what you get with overclocking
Im not sure about rez, as i said, im not good with this stuff, im a newbie, im more of a console gamer myself, but half life 2, tf2, Warcraft (if i ever get a job, hard with so many sports and school...) And some other cool games, windows live or whatever it is, ive already got an account, so the new games that come out. But Fear is one that i am looking forward to, and Oblivion on pc and console would be great with friends.

Im new to the forums so i dont know where to put this stuff... sorry

fear is awsome, ive finished both of them.
Oblivion i got bored of.

That should be able to max out all the games out so far and hopefully be able to play some future games in high settings.
But dont expect to set your resolution to 1600X XXXX.

Thats why im jsut going to go for the gtx, and later upgrade to the 9800 series, theyre coming out in november.
